Remove the filter bypass indicator (3):
(a)
Put the container under the filter bypass indicator.
(b)
Disconnect the P3 electrical connector (4) from the filter bypass indicator (3). 1) Install a cap on the electrical connector to prevent
contamination.
(c)
Remove the filter bypass indicator (3) and the packing (2). 1) Discard the packing.
(d)
Install a plug in the fuel pump port to prevent contamination.

(a)
Lubricate the packing (2) with the lubricant.

(b)
Install the new packing (2) on the filter bypass indicator (3).
(c)
Remove the plug from the fuel pump port.
(d)
Install the filter bypass indicator (3) in the filter cover.
1) Tighten the indicator to 125-150 pound-inches (14.1-16.9 N.m).
(e)
Install a lockwire between the filter bypass indicator (3) and the filter cover.
(f)
Remove the cap from the P3 electrical connector (4).
(g)
Connect the P3 electrical connector (4) to the filter bypass indicator (3). 1) Tighten the connector with your hand.
NOTE: The connector is fully tight when you cannot see
____
the red color band.

Remove the DO-NOT-OPERATE tag from the APU control switch on the P5 panel.

(a)
Do this task: "APU Starting and Operation" (Ref 49-11-00/201).
(b)
Examine the installation of the filter bypass indicator for leakage during the APU operation.
(c)
Do this task: "APU Usual Shutdown" (Ref 49-11-00/201).
