Install the packing (9) on the speed sensor N2 (7).
Visually examine the oil pump drive spur gear and gearshaft for
 damage, missing pieces or broken.
 1) If there is damage, missing pieces or the oil pump drive

 spur gear and gearshaft are broken, replace the APU (AMM 49-11-01/401).Do these steps to install the spacer (8):
 1)  Remove the remaining silicone compound from the faying
 surfaces of the accessory gearbox and spacer (8) with a
 scraper or an equivalent tool.
 2)  Clean the faying surfaces of the accessory gearbox and
 spacer (8) with alcohol and a cloth.
 3)  Dry the faying surfaces of the accessory gearbox and spacer
 (8) with a cloth.
 4)  Apply the silicone compound to the faying surfaces of the
 accessory gearbox.
 5)  Make sure the lockwire hole on the spacer (8) aligns with
 the lockwire hole on the accessory gearbox.
 6)  Install the spacer (8) on the accessory gearbox.
 NOTE:____ The silicone compound will hold the spacer (8) on
 the accessory gearbox.
 7)  Remove the unwanted silicone compound from the spacer (8)
 and accessory gearbox with a cloth.

Install the speed sensor N2 (7) in the accessory gearbox with the two nuts (11). 1) Tighten the two nuts (11) to 23-26 inch-pounds (2.6-2.9
 newton-meters).Install the lockwire on the speed sensor N2 (7) and then attach the lead seal to the lockwire.Connect the electrical connector D95015 (P15) (10) to the speed sensor N2 (7). 1) Tighten the electrical connector D95015 (P15) (10) until
 you cannot see the red color band.

 F. Put the Airplane Back to Its Usual Condition
 S 864-051
 (1)
Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags and close these circuit breakers:

 (a)  
P6-2 Main Power Distribution Panel
 1) 6K18, APU ALTN CONT


 (b)  
P83 Aft APU Equipment Control and Circuit Breaker Panel 1) APU PRIME CONT

 (2)  
Remove the DO-NOT-OPERATE tag from the APU control switch on the P5 overhead panel.

 (3)  
Close the left APU access door, 317AL, and right APU access door, 318AR:

 (a)  
Remove the two quick-release pins, disconnect the two hold-open rods and put the two hold-open rods in the two clips on the right access door.

 (b)  
Install the two quick-release pins in the two brackets on the right APU compartment bulkhead.

 (c)  
Lift the right access door until you can install the lanyard on the pin at the aft APU compartment bulkhead.


 NOTE: The lanyard will hold the right access door on the
____
 APU compartment bulkhead.

 (d)  
Remove the two quick-release pins, disconnect the two hold-open rods and put the two hold-open rods in the two clips on the left access door.

 (e)  
Install the two quick-release pins in the two brackets on the left APU compartment bulkhead.

 (f)  
Make sure the insulation covers are correctly attach to the APU compartment firewall.

 (g)  
Lift the left access door until the two APU access doors are approximately aligned.

 (h)  
Close the two APU access doors.

 (i)  
Close the six latches on the right access door.
