Procedure

 CAUTION:_______DO NOT HIT THE INLET PLENUM WITH YOUR HANDS OR TOOLS. THIS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE INLET PLENUM. IF YOU CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE INLET PLENUM, IT WILL BE NECESSARY TO REPLACE IT.
 (1)
Install the T12 sensor (17).

 (a)
Install a new copper gasket (18) on the T12 sensor (17).

 (b)  
Put the T12 sensor (17) in the compressor inlet case.

 (c)  
Install a jamnut on the T12 sensor (17).

 (d)  
Tighten the jamnut to 150-170 pound-inches (17.0-19.0
 newton-meters).


 (e)  
Remove the dust caps from the electrical connector (16).

 (f)  
Connect the P23 connector (16) to the T12 sensor (17), and tighten it with your hand.


 NOTE: The connector is fully tight when the lock indicator is
____
 in the orange color band.

 (2)  
Close the APU access doors:

 (a)  
Do a visual check of the EGT bus bars:
 1) Make sure the bus bars are not damaged.
 2) Make sure no metal parts touch the bus bars.
 3) Make sure the bus bars do not touch each other.


 (b)  
Disengage the support rods for the APU access doors.

 (c)  
Put the support rods in the clips on the inner side of the APU access doors.

 (d)  
Make sure the insulation covers correctly attach to the APU compartment firewall.

 (e)  
Close the APU access doors.

 (f)  
Close the latches on the APU access doors.

Remove the tag DO-NOT-OPERATE tag from the APU control switch on the P5 panel.
