Procedure


 S 424-069
 (1)  Install the T13 sensor (20).
 CAUTION: DO NOT HIT THE INLET PLENUM WITH YOUR HANDS OR TOOLS.
_______ THIS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE INLET PLENUM. IF YOU CAUSE DAMAGE THE INLET PLENUM, IT WILL BE NECESSARY TO REPLACE IT.
 (a)  
Install a new packing (21) on the T13 sensor (20).

 (b)  
Install the T13 (20), on the outlet duct for the load compressor.

 (c)  
Install the jamnut on the T13 sensor (20).

 1)  Tighten the jamnut to 65-75 pound-inches (7.2-8.4 newton-meters).

 (d)  
Remove the dust caps from the electrical connector.

 (e)  
Connect the P20 connector (19) to the T13 sensor (20), and tighten it with your hand.


 NOTE: The connector is fully tightened when you cannot see the

 red color band.

 (2)  
Close the APU access doors:

 (a)  
Do a visual check of the EGT bus bars:
 1) Make sure the bus bars are not damaged.
 2) Make sure no metal parts touch the bus bars.
 3) Make sure the bus bars do not touch each other.


 (b)  
Disengage the support rods for the APU access doors.

 (c)  
Put the support rods in the clips on the inner side of the APU access doors.

 (d)  
Make sure the insulation covers correctly attach to the APU compartment firewall.

 (e)  
Close the APU access doors.

 (f)  
Close the latches on the APU access doors.

Remove the DO-NOT-OPERATE tag from the APU control switch the P5 panel.

Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags and close these circuit breakers:

P83 Panel, E8 Aft Equipment Center
 1) APU PRIMARY CONT


 (b)  
P6 Main Power Distribution Panel
 1) 6K18 APU ALTN CONT
