CAUTION: REMOVE THE PROTECTION COVERS FROM THE OPENINGS AS NECESSARY.
_______ IF YOU DO NOT REMOVE THE PROTECTION COVERS, DAMAGE TO THE APU CAN OCCUR.

Do these steps to install the EGT thermocouple (4):
(a)
Install the EGT thermocouple (4) in the turbine exhaust housing with the two bolts (3). 1) Tighten the two bolts (3) to 36-40 inch-pounds (4.1-4.5
newton-meters).
(b)
Install the aft sealing cover (6) and then the forward sealing cover (5) on the turbine exhaust housing.

Attach the forward and aft sealing covers (5), (6) with velcro steel tape.
(d)
Install the alumel (KN) terminal lug to the negative (KN) bus bar with the bolt (1), washer (1A), insulator bracket (1B) and nut (2).
NOTE: The hole on the alumel (KN) terminal lug is larger
____ than the hole on the chromel (KP) terminal lug.
