 (a)  If FAIL> shows: 1) Push the LSK that is adjacent to FAIL> to see the GROUND TEST MSG pages for the failure. 2) Push the NEXT PAGE key until you find all the GROUND MSG pages. 3) Make a list of all CMCS messages, CMCS message numbers, and ATA numbers that show on the GROUND TEST MSG pages.
 4)  Go to the CMCS Message Index of the Fault Isolation Manual (FIM) to find the corrective action for each CMCS message.
 G.  Refuel Control Panel BITE

 WARNING: REFER TO AMM 27-81-00/201 FOR LOCK INSTALLATION PROCEDURE.
_______ FLAPS WILL RETRACT IN 7 SECONDS. INSTALL LOCKS TO PREVENT INJURY FROM INADVERTENT OPERATION OF FLAPS.
 (1)  Install the locks on all the extended leading edge flaps
 (AMM 27-81-00/201).

Open the access door for the refuel control panel (521CB).

 (a)  
Make sure the guide on the access door engages the detent.

Do these steps to do a check of the refuel control panel:

 (a)  
Make sure the POWER switch on the refuel control panel is set to the NORM position.

 (b)  
Make sure the floodlights are on.

 (c)  
The fueling quantity indicators are on and there is a fuel quantity indication.

Do these steps to make sure the fueling quantity indicators operate correctly:

 (a)  
Push the TEST GAGES switch on the refuel control panel for a minimum of one second. 1) Make sure that all the indicator displays show 888.8 for


 one second and then go off for one second. 2) Release the TEST GAGES switch and make sure the indicators go to the usual indication.
 NOTE: If you continue to hold the TEST GAGES switch, the
____ display will continue to show all 8's for one second and then go off for one second until you release the switch.
 H. Put the Airplane Back to Its Usual Condition
 S 415-065
 (1)  Close the refuel access door (521CB).

 WARNING: REFER TO AMM 27-81-00/201 FOR THE LOCK REMOVAL PROCEDURE.

Remove all of the safety locks from the leading edge flaps
 (AMM 27-81-00/201).

 3.  Fuel Quantity Indicating System System Test___________________________________________
 A. General
 (1)  
The system test for the fuel quantity indicating system (FQIS) contains these tests:

 (a)  
The Wet Tank Capacitance Test

 (b)  
The Dry Tank Capacitance Test

 (c)  
Indicated Fuel Quantity and Measured Fuel Quantity Comparison Test

 (d)  
The CMC ground test for the fuel quantity indicating system (FQIS) is done to make sure no CMCS messages are active which can effect the performance of the fuel quantity indication system.
