Install the Actuator

 (1)  
Prepare these surfaces for an electrical surface bond (SWPM 20-20-00):

 (a)
Faying surface of the index plate and valve actuator.

 (b)  Faying surface of the bonding jumper and bonding jumper tab.

 (2)  
Make sure that the manual override lever is in the CLOSED position.

Put the actuator into the correct position on the rear spar.

Engage the actuator shaft that has splines to the valve body.

Install the screws and washers (4 locations) to
 attach the actuator to the valve body.

Attach lockwire to the screws.

Install the bonding jumper on the actuator (SWPM 20-20-00).

Measure the electrical resistance between the actuator (1) and the spar (SWPM 20-20-00).


 NOTE: The resistance must not be more than 0.008 ohm.

 (9)  Attach the electrical connector, DV56, to the actuator, V56 (left wing), or the electrical connector, DV49, to the actuator, V49 (right wing).

 C. Do a Test for the Operation of the Jettison Nozzle Valve

 (1)  
Supply the electrical power, if it is not available
 (AMM 24-22-00/201).

Make sure these circuit breakers are in the closed position:

 (a)  
On the DC power distribution panel P180:
 1) 180M8, FUELING VALVE 2
 2) 180M9, FUELING PWR - HOT BAT
 3) 180C25, FUELING LTS PANEL
 4) 180C26, FUELING LTS RECP


 (b)  
On the left power distribution center, P414: 1) 414F17, FUELING VALVE 2) 414F22, FUELING PWR

Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags and close these circuit breakers:

 (a)  
On the main power distribution panel, P6:
 1) 6C18, JTSN NOZZLE VLV CONT R
 2) 6D18, JTSN NOZZLE VLV CONT L

 CAUTION: MAKE SURE THESE CIRCUIT BREAKERS ARE OPEN AND YOU ATTACH
_______ DO-NOT-CLOSE TAGS. IF YOU DO NOT OPEN THE CIRCUIT BREAKERS, YOU CAN CAUSE THE FUEL TO FLOW TO THE GROUND.
