(2) S 964-059Replace the lower float stop if it is damaged.
(3) S 164-063Clean the inner surfaces of the mounting base.
(4) S 434-064Install a new O-ring, lightly lubricated with petrolatum, on the farthest groove from the threads on the housing.

CAUTION: BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU INSTALL THE HOUSING OF THE MEASURING STICK.
_______ THE HOUSING IS MADE OF FIBERGLASS MATERIAL AND CAN BE EASILY DAMAGED IF YOU BEND IT.
(5) Put the housing through the mounting base in the fuel tank access door.
NOTE: Do not tighten the housing in the mounting base.

Install the float and upper float stop on the housing. S 434-060

Install the spring pin to attach the upper float stop to the housing.
S 414-054 CAUTION: MAKE SURE THE TOP END OF THE HOUSING GOES IN THE GUIDE WHEN YOU
_______ INSTALL THE FUEL TANK ACCESS DOOR WITH THE HOUSING NO. 18. IF THE HOUSING IS NOT IN THE GUIDE, THE HOUSING COULD BE DAMAGED.

Install the fuel tank access door (AMM 28-11-02/401). S 424-055
CAUTION:_______DO NOT TIGHTEN THE HOUSING TOO MUCH. DAMAGE TO THE HOUSING COULD OCCUR IF YOU TIGHTEN IT TOO MUCH.

Tighten the housing in the mounting base, with a hex wrench, to 30-40 pound-inches.

Install the fuel measuring stick (AMM 28-44-01/401).
