 (1)
Put the compensator (4) in its position on the mounting bracket.

 (2)  Install the screws (3), washers (2), and nuts (1) (four locations) to attach the compensator (4) to the mounting bracket.
 NOTE: When you install the main tank compensators, make sure the
____ nozzle holes in the fuel mixing line below the compensator align with the middle two electrodes of the compensator. The nozzle holes must also be 1 inch or less from the compensator lower end. If the nozzle holes are not correctly aligned, the fuel mixing lines must be installed again.

 (3)  Install the terminals of the FQIS wire bundle (11) on the terminal block of the compensator (4).
 NOTE: The terminal posts have different dimensions to prevent
____ errors in installation. Install each terminal (11) on the correct terminal post.

Install the nuts (8, 9, and 10) on the terminal block of the compensator (4).

Tighten the nuts (8, 9, and 10) to these torque limits:


 HI-Z 12-15 pound-inches
 LO-Z 25-35 pound-inches
 SHIELD 15-20 pound-inches

Put the clamp (5) around the FQIS wire bundle.

 (7)  
Put the clamp in its position on the terminal block.
