 WARNING: MAKE SURE THESE CIRCUIT BREAKERS ARE OPEN AND DO-NOT-CLOSE TAGS
_______ ARE ATTACHED. FAILURE TO OPEN THE THESE CIRCUIT BREAKERS CAN CAUSE FUEL LEAKAGE. FUEL FLOW FROM THE JETTISON NOZZLES CAN CAUSE A DANGEROUS CONDITION FOR EQUIPMENT AND PERSONS.
 (2)  
Open these circuit breakers and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:

 (a)  
On the main power distribution panel, P6:
 1) 6D18, JTSN NOZZLE VLV CONT L
 2) 6C18, JTSN NOZZLE VLV CONT R


 (b)  
On the left power distribution center, P414:
 1) 414C5, FUEL OVRD/JTSN PUMP FWD 3
 2) 414C2, FUEL OVRD/JTSN PUMP FWD 2
 3) 414D2, OVRD/JTSN PUMP CTR L


 (c)  
On the right power distribution center, P415: 1) 415A38, FUEL OVRD/JTSN PUMP AFT 2 2) 415B38, FUEL OVRD/JTSN PUMP AFT 3 3) 415M32, OVRD/JTSN PUMP CTR R

 WARNING: MAKE SURE THE FUEL JETTISON CONTROL SELECTOR SWITCH IS IN THE
_______ OFF POSITION. FUEL FLOW FROM THE JETTISON NOZZLE CAN CAUSE A DANGEROUS CONDITION FOR EQUIPMENT AND PERSONS.
 (3)  Make sure the FUEL JETTISON control selector switch, found on P5 pilots' overhead panel, is in the OFF position.

 WARNING: MAKE SURE THE TWO DEFUEL VALVE HANDLES AND THE TWO MANUAL
_______ SHUTOFF VALVE HANDLES ARE IN THE CLOSED POSITION. IF THE DEFUEL VALVES OR MANUAL SHUTOFF VALVES ARE OPEN, FUEL CAN FLOW FROM THE FUEL-FEED MANIFOLD INTO THE REFUEL/JETTISON MANIFOLD. IF A JETTISON NOZZLE VALVE IS OPEN, FUEL CAN FLOW FROM THE WINGTIPS AT THE JETTISON NOZZLES. A FUEL LEAK CAN CAUSE INJURIES TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
 (4)  Make sure the handles for the manual defuel valves and manual shutoff valves (found at the left and right pressure refuel stations) are in the closed position.

 WARNING: MAKE SURE THERE IS NOT PRESSURE IN THE REFUEL/JETTISON
_______ MANIFOLD. IF THERE IS PRESSURE IN THE REFUEL/JETTISON MANIFOLD, A FUEL LEAKAGE CAN OCCUR. FUEL CAN FLOW FROM THE JETTISON NOZZLES WHICH CAN CAUSE A DANGEROUS CONDITION FOR EQUIPMENT AND PERSONS.
 (5)  
Wait a minimum of 1.5 hours after a refuel, defuel or fuel transfer operation to make sure the refuel/jettison manifold is not pressurized.

 (6)  
If it is necessary to do maintenance before the 1.5 hours time limit, do these steps to remove the pressure from the refuel/jettison manifold.


 WARNING: REFER TO AMM 27-81-00/201 FOR LOCK INSTALLATION PROCEDURE.
_______ FLAPS WILL RETRACT IN 7 SECONDS. INSTALL LOCKS TO PREVENT INJURY FROM INADVERTENT OPERATION OF FLAPS.
 (a)  
Install the locks on all the extended leading edge flaps (AMM 27-81-00/201).

 (b)  
Open the access door, 521CB, to get to the refuel control panel, P42.

 (c)  
Make sure the floodlights come on and there is power.

 (d)  
Make sure the fuel quantity gages show a fuel quantity.

 (e)  
Make sure the No. 2 and No. 3 main tanks are not full (at VTO).

 (f)  
Make sure the OVERFILL red light is not on.

 (g)  Put the refuel valve switches, MAIN 2 and MAIN 3, to the OPEN position.
 NOTE: This will remove the pressure from the refuel/jettison
____ manifold. The blue indication lights for the refuel valves in the No. 2 and No. 3 main tanks will come on if the refuel/jettison manifold pressure is more than 6 psig and the refuel valve is operational.
 1)  If a blue indication light did not come on, it is possible that the refuel valve did not operate electrically. a) Use the manual method to open the applicable refuel
 valve(s) (AMM 12-11-01/301). b) Wait for 5 minutes. c) Close the refuel valve(s) that were opened manually
