Prepare the Airplane for FQIS Wire Bundle Installation

Purge and prepare to go into the applicable fuel tank(s), if it is not accomplished (AMM 28-11-00/201).

Make sure that the airplane is in the configuration prepared for the wire bundle removal.

Make sure that an O-ring is installed in the groove of the FQIS wire
bundle connector.Procedure

Obey the fuel tank entry precautions (AMM 28-11-00/201).

Go into the inboard fuel tank to where the wire bundle connector is to be installed on the spar.

Make sure that the mating surface on the spar and the receptacle is clean (AMM 51-31-01/201).

(4) Put the wire bundle connector in the hole in the spar.

(5) Hold the connector in its position while other persons out of the
tank install the connector jamnut.

(6) Tighten the connector jamnut to 200-250 pound-inches.

(7) Apply the sealant around the edge of the connector flange in the
tank.

(8) Put the wire bundle in its position from the connector to all of the
applicable tank components.
(a) Loosely attach the wire bundle in its position with clamps.
NOTE:____ Do not tighten the clamps.

Make sure that before the wire bundle goes through the electrical seal areas the remaining seal material is removed.

Clean and prepare the seal area (AMM 51-31-01/201).

If the wire bundle is for the outboard tanks, put the remaining wire through the tank divider seal area.

Examine the wire bundle for critical installation point flag markers in the inboard tank.

One or two flag markers are used.
