Defuel the airplane (AMM 28-26-00/201).

To replace the wire bundle to the outboard or reserve tank, put the airplane in the wing jig position.
NOTE: The wing jig position will prevent a possible bolt
____ mis-alignment problem when the inspar removable ribs are removed and installed (AMM 57-12-01/401).

Remove all the applicable wing main and reserve tank access panels.

(1) Disconnect the applicable wire bundle connector from out of the fuel tank.

(2) Remove the jamnut from the out of the fuel tank that attaches the tank wire bundle connector to the spar.

Obey the fuel tank entry precautions (AMM 28-11-00/201).

Go into the fuel tank.

Disconnect the wire terminals from the terminal block of applicable tank units and compensator or densitometer (main tank only).

Loosen the strain relief clamps at the terminal blocks and remove the wires from the clamps.

Remove all the clamps that attach the wire bundle to the fuel tank structures.

If a reserve or outboard tank wire bundle is replaced, remove the inspar removable ribs at WS 1056 and WS 1168 (AMM 57-12-01/401).

Remove electrical wire bundle seals where used on tank dividers and tank baffles (AMM 51-31-01/201).

If the wire bundle goes through more than one tank, do these steps:
(a)
Pull the loose end of the wire bundle back through the tank divider seal area into the adjacent inner tank.
(b)
Remove the wire bundle clamps in the adjacent tank.
(c)
If it is necessary, do this procedure again until all the wire bundle clamps are removed thru the inboard tank spar connector.
