Apply a light layer of oil to the external surface of the mounting connector on the fuel temperature bulb.

Put the fuel temperature bulb into the adapter assembly and turn one-quarter turn clockwise to attach it to the adapter assembly.

Connect the electrical cable on the fuel temperature bulb to the airplane leads with a moisture proof splice (WDM 20-30-12).
(4)
Close the hydraulic access panel, 573CB.
(5)
Install the aft fixed fairing on the No. 2 engine nacelle strut.

FUEL MEASURING STICK ASSEMBLY - DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION

General

A. The fuel measuring stick assemblies are provided as a manual means of measuring the quantity of fuel in the tanks. The measuring sticks can also assist the ground crew in fueling operations by allowing a comparison between the measuring sticks and the fueling quantity indicators in the airplane.
B. Three sticks are located in each reserve tank, three sticks in each inboard and outboard main tank, and one stick in the center wing tank (Fig. 1). The lengths and configurations of the sticks vary, depending on the tank and location within the tank in which they are installed. Each measuring stick is marked with a position number, either on the head of the measuring stick or on the side of the measuring stick in line with the part number.
