Put the Airplane Back to Its Usual Condition

 (1)  
Connect the applicable airplane wire bundle to the bulkhead connector.

 (a)  
Torque the coupling connector 60 to 70 pound-inches to make sure the coupling connector is fully engaged.

 (2)  Measure the bonding resistance between the bonding jumper on the airplane wire bundle connector and the rear spar structure (SWPM 20-20-00).
 NOTE: The bonding resistance must not be more than 0.010 ohm.

Install lockwire from the jamnut to the bracket.

Install lockwire from the connector plug to the bracket.

Go out of and close the fuel tank (AMM 28-11-00/201).

 (2)  S 714-000Do this CMC ground test, <FUEL QUANTITY IND (AMM 28-41-00/501).
 NOTE:____ After you replace a wire bundle you can use the EICAS maintenance pages to display the capacitance value of the individual FQIS components. (Reference the Dry Tank Capacitance Test) (AMM 28-41-00/501). Although the capacitance check can provide system information, it is not necessary to do this test. The only test that is necessary is the CMCS ground test, <FUEL QUANTITY IND. If the ground test shows a "PASS" indication the fuel quantity indication system is operational.
 (3)  S 864-167Refuel the applicable tanks to the volumetric top off (VTO) quantity (AMM 12-11-01/301).
 (4)  S 744-168Do this CMC ground test, <FUEL QUANTITY IND (AMM 28-41-00/501)
 (5)  S 864-109Remove electrical power if it is not necessary (AMM 24-22-00/201).

 FUEL QUANTITY DENSITOMETER - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

 1.  General_______
 A.  This procedure contains instructions to remove and install the fuel quantity densitometers.
 B.  Densitometers are found in the center wing tank and the main tanks. The densitometer in the center wing tank is installed forward of the midspar near the airplane centerline. Densitometers in the main tanks are installed aft of the midspar, at the inboard end of the tank.
 C.  Access to the densitometers is through the applicable access doors and the access doors for the spanwise beam (center wing tank only).
