 CAUTION: DO NOT TOUCH THE CONTROL CARD BEFORE YOU DO THE PROCEDURE FOR
_______ DEVICES THAT ARE SENSITIVE TO ELECTROSTATIC DISCHARGE. ELECTROSTATIC DISCHARGE CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE CONTROL CARD.
 (1)  
Do the procedure for devices that are sensitive to electrostatic discharge (AMM 20-41-02/201).

Install the control card in the M7852 fuel system card file at location A4 (AMM 20-11-22/401).

Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags and close these circuit breakers:

 FUEL JETTISON SINGLE POINT SENSOR CONTROL CARD - ADJUSTMENT/TEST

 1.  General_______
 A.  This procedure contains an operational test of the single-point sensor (SPS) components for the fuel jettison system. The operational test uses the built in test (BIT) in the SPS control card. You can do the BIT test at the SPS control card or do the CMCS ground test, <SNGL PT SNSR CARD. This test makes sure that the SPS system components (single point sensors, control card, and wiring between the card and sensors) are OK.
 B.  You cannot adjust the single-point sensors or the control cards.
 C.  The SPS fuel jettison control card (JETT M2 M3 SPS) is installed in the fuel system card file, M7852, in slot A4.
 (1)  
Access to the card file is in the left crawlway adjacent to the wheel well for the nose gear.

 D.  
The single point sensors are found in the No. 2 and 3 main tanks and are located at the fuel level for 3000 U.S. gallons (11,350 liters).


 NOTE: The 3K GAL. fuel level is set for an in-flight airplane.

 (1)  On the ground the fuel quantity that is necessary to cover the single point sensors with fuel will change with different fuel densities or airplane attitudes. These fuel quantities will make sure the SPS senors are always "dry" or "wet" at all nominal airplane ground attitudes and fuel densities:
 JETT M2 M3 SPS "DRY" inputs, maximum of 2850 U.S. gallons.
 JETT M2 M3 SPS "WET" inputs, minimum of 3750 U.S. gallons.

 or
 JETT M2 M3 SPS "DRY" inputs, maximum of 10,790 liters.
 JETT M2 M3 SPS "WET" inputs, minimum of 14,200 liters.
