 FUEL JETTISON CONTROL CARD - ADJUSTMENT/TEST
____________________________________________
 1.  General_______
 A.  This procedure contains an operational test of the fuel jettison control cards (FJCC), FJCC A and FJCC B. To do a test on the FJCCs with a power up BITE you must open the circuit breakers or ground the FJCCs at the M7852 fuel system card file. If the circuit breakers are opened, you must stop for 5 minutes to start the test.
 B.  The FJCC BITE does a test on the random access memory (RAM), read only memory (ROM), processor, outputs in the OFF mode and outputs in the ON mode. The outputs in the ON mode are examined by the start of the logic necessary to cause the output to turn on. The outputs are started for less than 1.5 milliseconds so as not to operate the relays that control the jettison valves.
 C.  The CMC message 28665 FUEL JETTISON CONTROL CARD A FAIL or 28666 FUEL JETTISON CONTROL CARD B FAIL will show if a FJCC fails the power up BITE test. These EICAS messages can show in with the above CMC messages:

A specific fuel quantity is not necessary for this task.

 (c)  
Electrical Power On (AMM 24-22-00/201).

 (d)  
Fuel System Card File serviceable (AMM 28-22-16/401).

 (e)  
Integrated Display System (IDS) serviceable (AMM 31-61-00/501).

 (f)  
Airplane must be in ground mode (AMM 32-09-02/201).

 (g)  
CDU installed (AMM 34-61-02/401).

Use one of these two procedures to start the fuel jettison control card (FJCC) A and B BITE:

 (a)  
Open these circuit breakers:

 1)  P6 Main Power Distribution Panel a) 6C17, FUEL JTSN CONT B b) 6D17, FUEL JTSN CONT A

 (b)  
After 5 minutes, close these circuit breakers:


 NOTE: When you close the circuit breakers after the
____ power stops for 5 minutes, the fuel jettison control card (FJCC) A and B BITE test starts.
