 Compare the measured dry capacitance values and resistance values for the tank units and the compensator with the values shown in Figure 506.

 (a)  
If the capacitance and resistance values from the FQIS wire bundle connector at the tank wall and FQPU, M7860, are satisfactory, the FQIS wiring and FQIS components in the tank operate correctly.

 (b)  
If the capacitance or resistance values are not satisfactory at the FQIS wire bundle connector at the tank wall and the FQPU, M7860, the problem is in the fuel tank.

 (c)  
If the capacitance or resistance values are satisfactory at the FQIS wire bundle connector at the tank wall, but are not satisfactory at the FQPU, M7860, the problem is in the FQIS wiring between the FQIS connector at the tank wall and the FQPU, M7860.

 (d)  
Replace or repair these items to correct the FQIS problem: 1) Fuel quantity processor unit, M7860 (AMM 28-41-13/401) 2) Fuel quantity tank unit (AMM 28-41-01/401) 3) Fuel quantity compensator (AMM 28-41-02/401) 4) FQIS in-tank wire bundle (AMM 28-41-09/401) 5) Airplane FQIS wire bundle between the FQPU, M7860, and the


 FQIS wire bundle connector at the tank wall (SSM 28-41-03, SSM 28-41-04, SSM 28-41-05, WDM 28-41-21, WDM 28-41-22, WDM 28-41-23, WDM 28-41-24).

 (15) Remove the PSD747-21 circuit card adapter from the slot of the applicable IFQC card.

 Do this task to install the applicable IFQC card in the card file: "ESDS Circuit Card Installation" (AMM 20-41-02/201).
