Prepare these surfaces for an electrical surface bond (SWPM 20-20-00):
(a)
Faying surface of the valve actuator and the valve body mounting bolts.

(b) Faying surface of the bonding jumper and bonding jumper tab.
(2) S 864-011Make sure the manual override lever on the actuator is in the closed position.
(3) S 424-012Engage the shaft with splines on the actuator with the valve body to put the actuator (1) in its position.
(4) S 434-013Install the screws (3) and washers (4) (four locations) to attach the actuator (1) to the rear spar.
(5) S 424-096Tighten the cap screws to a torque of 20 - 25 pound-inches (2.3 - 2.8 newton-meters).
(6) S 434-071Install lockwire on the screws (3).
(7) S 434-014Install the screw (5), washers (6), and nut (8) to attach the bonding jumper (7) to the actuator (1) (SWPM 20-20-00).
(8) S 764-097Measure the electrical resistance between the actuator (1) and the spar (SWPM 20-20-00).
NOTE:____ The resistance must not be more than 0.008 ohm.
(9) S 434-015Connect the electrical connector (2) to the actuator (1).
NOTE:____ Refer to this table for the equipment numbers.
