G. Fuel Transfer Test - Jettison Transfer Valve for the No. 2 Main Tank -Valve Open

(1) Do these steps to open the jettison transfer valve in the No. 2 main tank.
NOTE: The jettison transfer valve is manually opened to make sure
____ the valve body and valve shaft are installed correctly. Test one jettison transfer valve at a time.
(a)
Have a person go out to the rear spar area in the wheel-well for the left wing landing gear.
(b)
Find the jettison transfer valve actuator for the No. 2 main tank (adjacent and outboard of the aft override/jettison pump).
(c)
Push the manual lever on the jettison transfer valve actuator to the OPEN position.

Make sure the MAIN 1 refuel valve switch is in the OPEN position.

Put these override/jettison pump switches on the fuel manangement control module, M154, to the ON position:
(a)
OVRD 2 FWD
(b)
OVRD 2 AFT

Monitor the fuel synoptic.
(a)
Make sure the fuel quantity for the No. 1 main tank increases.
(b)
Transfer a minimum of 600 lbs (300 kgs) of fuel.
NOTE: The fuel transfer with the jettison transfer valve
____ completely open should take approximately one minute.

Have the person at the refuel control panel, P42, put the MAIN 1 refuel valve switch to the CLOSED position.

Put the manual lever on the jettison transfer valve to the CLOSED position.
