Have a person go out to the refuel control panel, P42, and keep communication with the flight compartment.

Put the refuel valve switch for the No. 2 main tank, MAIN 2, on the P42 refuel control panel, to the OPEN position.

Put the FUEL JETTISON control selector switch on the fuel jettison module, (P5 pilots' overhead panel) to the A position.

 (9)  Do these steps to prepare the left nozzle valve for the fuel jettison simulation. (a) Have a person (with a jumper cable) go out to the actuator for the left nozzle valve.
 (b)  Make sure the nozzle valve electrical connector, DV56 is disconnected.
 (c) (d)  Make sure the person is in communication with the flight compartment.Do the next two steps within seven seconds of each other to prevent a nozzle valve disagree message. 1) Put the FUEL JETTISON L-NOZZLE switch on the fuel jettison module to the open position. 2) Install a jumper between pins 2 and 3 of the jettison nozzle valve connector DV56.

 Do these steps to prepare the right nozzle valve for the fuel jettison simulation.

 (a)  
Have a person (with a jumper cable) go out to the actuator for the right nozzle valve.

 (b)

Make sure the person is in communication with the flight compartment.

Make sure the the pump box symbols for the No. 3 main tank override/jettison pumps change color in this sequence: 1) Magenta pump box (pump on-pressure) 2) Magenta pump box flow bars (pump on - jettison flow) 3) When there is fuel flow out of the No. 3 main tank and into


 the No. 2 main tank, make sure there are jettison flow bars between the symbols for the aft override/jettison pumps in the No. 3 main tank and the jettison nozzle valves.
