 (3)  Make sure the fuel tanks contain these fuel quantities:
 NOTE: At different pitch and roll attitudes the fuel quantity

 (a)  
The No. 2 and No. 3 reserve tanks and the No. 1 and No. 4 outboard main tanks can contain some quantity of fuel.

 (b)  
No. 2 and No. 3 main tanks - minimum of 12,500 lbs (5700 kgs) of fuel.

 (c)  Center wing tank - maximum of 60,000 lbs (27,200 kgs) and a minimum of 15,000 lbs (6800 kgs) of fuel.

If the fuel quantity is not sufficient, refuel the tank(s) (AMM 12-11-01/301) or move fuel from a different tank (AMM 28-26-00/201) if it is necessary.

Make sure all of the override/jettison pump switches on the fuel management control module, (P5 pilots' overhead panel) are off (the white ON indication symbol in each pump switch does not show).

Make sure all of the crossfeed valve switches on the fuel management control module (P5 pilots' overhead panel) are off (the white flowbar indication light in each crossfeed valve switch does not show).

Make sure that the FUEL JETTISON control selector switch on the fuel jettison module, (P5 pilots' overhead panel) is in the OFF position.

 WARNING: MAKE SURE THE WHITE ON INDICATION LIGHT IN EACH JETTISON
_______ NOZZLE VALVE SWITCH DOES NOT SHOW. A WHITE ON INDICATION LIGHT SHOWS THAT THE NOZZLE VALVES ARE OPEN. IF THE FUEL JETTISON NOZZLE VALVES ARE OPEN, FUEL CAN FLOW FROM THE WINGTIPS AT THE JETTISON NOZZLES. A FUEL LEAK CAN CAUSE INJURIES TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
 (9)  
Make sure the FUEL JETTISON L-NOZZLE and NOZZLE-R switches on the fuel jettison module, (P5 pilots' overhead panel) are off (the white ON indication light in each switch does not show).
