FORWARD ENGINE MOUNT THRUST LINK ASSEMBLY - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General_______
A. This procedure has two tasks, to remove and install the thrust link
assembly.
B. The thrust link assembly of the forward engine mount extends from these
locations:
(1)
The fittings on the right and left sides of the fan frame.
(2)
To the same thrust fitting installed on the bottom of the strut.

(1) Open the fan cowl panels (AMM 71-11-02/201).

WARNING: OBEY THE INSTRUCTIONS IN THIS PROCEDURE WHEN YOU OPEN THE
_______ THRUST REVERSERS. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THE INSTRUCTIONS, INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO THE EQUIPMENT CAN OCCUR.

Open the thrust reversers (AMM 78-31-00/201).

Remove the two thrust links from the thrust link assembly.
(a)
Remove the bolt, nut, and washers that attach each thrust link to the evener bar.
(b)
Remove the bolt, nut, and washers that attach each thrust link to the fan frame fitting.

(4) Remove the thrust link assembly from the strut.
(a) Remove the five bolts and washers that attach the thrust fitting to the strut.
