5. Install the Fan Cowl Panel (Sling Arrangement) (Fig. 401 and 402)______________________________________________
A. General
(1)
The boom assembly, the engine strut attach fittings, the attach pin assembly, the fan cowl sling, and the fishpole hoist are necessary only if the boom and sling configuration is used.
(2)
The BMS 5-95 sealant is necessary only if the outboard fan cowl panel is replaced and protruding head screws are installed in the fan cowl panel fastener holes.

OPERATION BECAUSE THE FORWARD LATCHES/HINGES ARE IN THE ENGINE
INLET HAZARD AREA ZONE. IF YOU GO INTO THE HAZARD AREA, YOU
CAN GET PULLED INTO THE ENGINE WITH POSSIBLE FATAL RESULTS.
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU INSTALL THE FAN COWL PANEL IN HIGH WIND OR
GUST CONDITIONS. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE
TO EQUIPMENT.
(1) Lower the fan cowl sling and attach it to the fan cowl panel.

WARNING:_______BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU MOVE THE FAN COWL PANEL. BECAUSE THE RIGHT FAN COWL PANEL WEIGHS 110 POUNDS (50 KG) AND THE LEFT FAN COWL PANEL WEIGHS 90 POUNDS (40 KG), INJURIES TO PERSONS CAN OCCUR.
CAUTION: BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU PUT THE FAN COWL PANEL ON THE HINGES.
_______ DAMAGE TO THE SEAL ON THE UPPER EDGE OF THE FAN COWL PANEL CAN OCCUR.
