FORWARD ENGINE MOUNT - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General
_______
A. This procedure contains four tasks. The first task is to remove the forward engine mount. The second task is to install the forward engine mount. The third task is to remove the cone bolt. The fourth task is to install the cone bolt.
B. The two forward engine mounts are found between the 11 o'clock and 1 o'clock positions on the fan frame. This procedure is applicable to the left and right forward engine mount.
C. You must remove the engine from the strut before you can remove the forward engine mounts.

Remove the bolts and washers that attach the mount to the fan frame.

(1) Install the mount on the fan frame with the holes in the fan frame support aligned with the holes in the fan frame.

CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT THE WASHERS ARE INSTALLED UNDER THE UPPER AND
_______ LOWER BOLTS OF THE LEFT AND RIGHT FAN FRAME SUPPORTS. INCORRECT WASHER INSTALLATION CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE FAN FRAME SUPPORTS AND FAN CASE THREADS.
(2)
Install the two smallest bolts and washers in the top end (12 o'clock position) of the support.
