Open the fan cowl panels (AMM 71-11-02/201).

Remove the T12 temperature sensor from the inlet cowl as follows (Fig. 401):
(a)
Remove the clamp that attaches the T12 sensor electrical cable to the inlet cowl bracket.
(b)
Install the clamp on the cable.
(c)
Remove the four bolts, washers, and dampers that attach the T12 sensor to the inlet cowl.
(d)
Remove the sensor and flange from the inlet cowl recess.
(e)
Align the flange on the sensor and temporarily attach the sensor to the engine mounted support bracket with the bolts, washers, and dampers from the T12 sensor.
NOTE: Use two to four nuts to temporarily attach the sensor

to the support bracket.

Remove the T2 temperature sensor from the inlet cowl as follows (Fig. 402):
(a)
Remove the clamps that attach the T2 sensor capillary tube to the inlet cowl bracket and engine flange bracket.
(b)
Install the clamps on the tube.
(c)
Remove the four bolts that attach the T2 sensor to the inlet
cowl.
(d)
Remove the sensor from the inlet cowl recess.
(e)
Temporarily attach the sensor to the engine mounted support
bracket with the T2 sensor bolts.

Remove the thermal anti-icing (TAI) duct as follows (Fig. 403):
(a)
Disconnect the electrical connector from the temperature
switch.
(b)
Disconnect the sensing line for the pressure switch from the
TAI duct.
(c)
Remove the couplings at the aft face of the inlet cowl lip and immediately aft of the engine inlet attachment flange.
(d)
Remove the duct from the cowl.
CAUTION: INSTALL A CAP ON THE PNEUMATIC DUCT AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE

AFTER YOU REMOVE THE TAI DUCT TO PREVENT CONTAMINATION.
CONTAMINATION OF THE PNEUMATIC DUCT CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO
THE EQUIPMENT.
(e)
Install caps on the ends of the TAI duct, pressure switch tube, and temperature switch electrical connections.
(f)
Install caps on the openings at the aft face of the inlet cowl lip.
(g)
Install caps at the duct opening aft of the engine inlet
attachment flange.
