(3) ON ENGINES WITH P/N 310A1028 HANGAR FITTING; examine the conical surface of the hangar fitting from the aft mount for pits or galling. (a) If the damage is more than 20 percent of the surface area, replace the hangar fitting. (b) If a single defect extends more than 0.3 inch (7.6 mm) in any direction, replace the hangar fitting.

(4) Remove and disassemble the components that follow: (a) The forward mount (AMM 71-21-01/401) (b) The thrust link assembly (AMM 71-21-02/401). (c) The aft engine mount (AMM 71-21-03/401).

(5) Examine the wedge surfaces on the fail-safe fitting of the thrust link assembly for worn areas, pits or galling. (a) If the damage is more than 10 percent of the contact area on one of the four wedge surfaces to a depth of 0.005 inch (0.127 mm), replace the fail-safe fitting.

(6) Do a penetrant inspection of the five bolts that attach the thrust link assembly to the strut (AMM 70-40-01/201).

(7) Do a check for worn areas and clearances of the engine mounts (Fig. 601).

(8) Assemble and install the components that follow: (a) The forward engine mount (AMM 71-21-01/401). (b) The thrust link assembly (AMM 71-21-02/401). (c) The aft engine mount (AMM 71-21-03/401).

(9) Install the power plant (AMM 71-00-02/401).
