(b) At the overhead panel, P5, set the switch to the off position and attach the DO-NOT-OPERATE tag.

(2) Remove the screws to remove the access panel below the wingtip.

WARNING: DO NOT TOUCH THE LIGHT WITH YOUR BARE HANDS UNTIL THE LIGHT IS
_______ OFF FOR A MINIMUM OF FIVE MINUTES. DURING THIS TIME, YOU CAN RECEIVE AN INJURY IF YOU TOUCH THE LIGHT. THE LIGHT CAN BURN YOUR SKIN OR GIVE YOU AN ELECTRICAL SHOCK.

Disconnect the electrical connector from the light.

Remove the mounting bolts.

To help in the removal of the light, turn or move the mounting bracket on one side of the light.
(a)
Turn the mounting bracket (Recommended Procedure). 1) Remove three of the mounting screws and loosen the fourth
mounting screw. 2) Turn the mounting bracket.
(b)
Remove the mounting bracket (Alternative Procedure). 1) Remove the four mounting screws. 2) Remove the mounting bracket.

(6) Pull the light clear of the airplane.

Install the mounting bracket with the mounting screws.

Install the light.
(a)
Put the light back in the wingtip.
(b)
Install the mounting bolts.
(c)
Connect the electrical connector to the light.

(4) Install the access panel with the screws.
D. Light Test

Supply electrical power (AMM 24-22-00/201).

Remove each DO-NOT-CLOSE or DO-NOT-OPERATE tag.
(a) Close each circuit breaker that was opened when the light was removed.

(3) Set the switch for the strobe position lights to the on position.
CAUTION: DO NOT LET THE STROBE POSITION LIGHTS FLASH DIRECTLY IN
_______ YOUR EYES. THE INTENSITY OF THE LIGHT CAN CAUSE YOU TO NOT SEE TEMPORARILY.
(a) Make sure that the light flashes at the rate of 60 +/- 10 times per minute.

Set the switch to the off position.

Remove electrical power if it is not necessary (AMM 24-22-00/201).
