From the front of the panel, push the cap assembly into its position.
(g)
Connect the electrical wires to the indicator light terminals and remove the tags from the wires.
(h)
Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags and close the circuit breakers which you opened to remove the indicator light.

(2) Do a Test of the Indicator Lights:
(a)
Supply electrical power (AMM 24-22-00/201).
(b)
Push the front of the indicator light.
(c)
Make sure that the indicator light comes on.
(d)
Remove electrical power if it is not necessary (AMM 24-22-00/201).

LIGHTED PUSHBUTTON SWITCHES - MAINTENANCE PRACTICES

1. General
_______
A. This procedure contains two tasks for the replacement of the lamp in a lighted pushbutton switch (referred to as the switch):
(1)
The removal of the lamp.
(2)
The installation of the lamp.
B. The switches are installed on the instrument panels of the flight compartment.
C. Each switch has two light circuits that are electrically isolated.
(1)
One circuit controls the caution indicator light. This indicator light shows the condition of the airplane.
(a)
The Master Dim and Test module supplies 28 volts dc to each indicator light.
(b)
To do a check of the indicator lights, set the LIGHTS switch of the center instrument panel, P2, to the TEST position.
(2)
The other circuit controls the position indicator light. This indicator light shows if the lighted pushbutton switch is on or off.
(a)
5 volts ac from the dimmer controls installed in the instrument panels controls each indicator light.
(b)
To do a check of the indicator light, you must push the lighted pushbutton switch.
NOTE: Refer to the applicable system procedure before you

push the switch.
