(2) There is also an incandescent lamp installed in each entry light. This lamp is the dim entry light.
(a) There are no switches for the dim entry light. It comes on automatically only when external electrical power is supplied to the airplane.
Threshold Light
_______________
A. A threshold light gives specific lighting to the entry area in front of each passenger door. This light is installed in the ceiling above the door.
(1)
Each threshold light contains an incandescent lamp.
(2)
The 28 volts ac of electrical power for the threshold light comes from the ground service bus.
(3)
You operate the threshold light with the switch for the entry lights. This light only comes on when the switch is in the bright position.
Attendant's Work Light

A. Each attendant's work light is installed in the ceiling to give lighting to an attendant's station.
(1)
You control an attendant's work light with a switch on the
attendant's panel near the light.
(2)
An attendant's work light with an incandescent lamp operates with 28 volts ac from the ground service bus.
(3)
AIRPLANES WITH A FLUORESCENT ATTENDANT'S WORK LIGHT; An attendant's work light with fluorescent lamps operates with 115 volts ac from the ground service bus. With the switch set to the dim position, one lamp comes on. With the switch set to the bright position, two lamps come on.
Airstair Light
______________
A. Airstair lights consist of two incandescent lights on each tread of the stair.
B. The lights are controlled by a three position (ON-OFF-AUTO) switch on the airstair control panel and the airstair full down limit switch. With the control switch on AUTO, all the tread lights will illuminate upon full extension of the airstair. With the switch to ON, all the tread lights will illuminate for any position of the airstair. With the switch to OFF, no airstair lights will illuminate.

C. The airstair tread lights are powered from the 28v ac ground service bus through a circuit breaker on the P18-3 panel.

(1) Do one of these steps to remove electrical power from the entry light:
(a)
At the attendant's panel, set the switch to the off position and attach the DO-NOT-OPERATE tag.
(b)
Open each applicable circuit breaker and attach the DO-NOT-CLOSE tag: 1) On the load control center panel, P18.

(2) Open the light assembly.
(a)
Loosen each fastener or release each latch to open the light assembly.
(b)
Lower the light assembly and disconnect its lanyard.
