C. Procedure

(1) Prepare to remove the lamp.
(a)
Supply electrical power (AMM 24-22-00/201).
(b)
Close the applicable circuit breakers.
(c)
Identify the caution indicator lights which do not come on. 1) Hold the LIGHTS switch of the P2 panel in the TEST
position. 2) Identify each indicator light that does not come on. 3) Release the LIGHTS switch to the BRT position. 4) Make sure all the indicator lights go off.
(d)
Identify the position indicator lights which do not come on.
WARNING: THE OPERATION OF A SWITCH WILL CAUSE ITS SYSTEM TO
_______ OPERATE. THE ACCIDENTAL OPERATION OF A SYSTEM CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
1) Use the applicable system test to operate each switch. 2) Identify each indicator light that does not come on. 3) Push each switch to the off position.
a) Make sure the indicator light goes off.

(2) Remove the Switch Lamp:
CAUTION: REMOVE THE POWER FROM THE INDICATOR LIGHTS BEFORE YOU DO
_______ MAINTENANCE. FAILURE TO OPEN THE CIRCUIT BREAKERS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE ELECTRICAL CIRCUIT CARDS WHEN YOU INSTALL THE LENS CAP.
(a) Open these circuit breakers and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:
1) P6-3 Load Control Center - Right a) MASTER DIM BUS IND NO. 1 DC b) MASTER DIM BUS IND NO. 2 DC c) MASTER DIM BUS BATTERY IND
WARNING: OPEN THE APPLICABLE SYSTEM CIRCUIT BREAKER FOR THE SYSTEM
_______ CONTROLLED BY THE SWITCH. THE INSTALLATION OF THE LENS CAP INTO THE SWITCH CAN OPERATE THE SWITCH AND CAUSE ITS SYSTEM TO OPERATE. THE ACCIDENTAL OPERATION OF A SYSTEM CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(b)
Open the applicable system circuit breakers
and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags.
(c)
Make sure the switch is in the OFF position (not pushed in).

CAUTION:_______DO NOT HOLD THE SWITCH LENS CAP WITH A TOOL. REMOVE THE LENS CAP WITH YOUR FINGERS ONLY. DO NOT USE TOO MUCH FORCE ON THE BAIL WIRE BECAUSE YOU CAN DAMAGE THE CLIP.
(d)
Hold the lens cap with your fingers and pull it away from the indicator light assembly.
(e)
Remove the lamp.
