(b)
Remove the lens retainer and the gasket around the outer edge of the lamp.
(c)
Pull the lamp forward and disconnect the electrical wires from the screw terminals.
(d)
Remove the lamp.
(e)
Make sure the replacement lamp terminals are clean.
(f)
Connect the wires to the screw terminals on the replacement lamp.
NOTE: Tighten the screws until the lockwashers are fully
____
compressed.
WARNING: MAKE SURE YOU SEAL THE TERMINALS TO PREVENT AN EXPLOSION
_______ OF THE FUEL FUMES. AN EXPLOSION CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(g)
Do this task: "Seal the Open Terminals" (AMM 20-10-47/201)
(h)
Put the lamp in its position in the light assembly.
(i)
Install the lens retainer and the gasket around the outer edge of the lamp.
(j)
Tighten the tension spring screws at the rear of the light assembly.

(2) Do a test of the outboard landing lights:
(a)
Close these circuit breakers and remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:
1) P18-3 Load Control Center - Left
a) RIGHT OUTBOARD LANDING LIGHTS
b) LEFT OUTBOARD LANDING LIGHTS
(b)
Set the LANDING OUTBOARD L and the LANDING OUTBOARD R switches on the P5 panel to ON.
(c)
Make sure the two lights come on.
(d)
Set the LANDING OUTBOARD L and the LANDING OUTBOARD R switches on the P5 panel to the RETRACT position.
(e)
Make sure the outboard landing lights go off and the lights retract.

A. This procedure contains these tasks for the outboard landing light (referred to as the light).

The removal of the light
(2)
The installation of the light.
B. There is an outboard landing light in each outboard fairing.
C. The outboard landing lights can be extended and retracted.
