Make a new seal (AMM 51-31-00/201).
(d)
Put the new lens assembly in its position.
(e)
Put the screws that were removed from the used lens assembly into the holes in the new lens assembly.
(f)
Tighten the screws.

(4) On a lens attached with quick-release fasteners, install the new lens.
(a) Spotface the lens assembly frame at each of the ring retainer locations (Fig. 402).
NOTE: This step is necessary to make sure the lens cover will
____ correctly engage with the leading edge surface. If you do not spotface the lens frame at each hole, do not use the ring retainers.
(b)
Put the studs through the holes in the new lens assembly.
(c)
Attach the ring retainers on the studs (See Fig. 402 for the proper installation procedures).
NOTE: Make sure the lens assembly and the landing light
____
retainer do not touch.
(d)
Remove old seal and prepare surface for sealing
(AMM 51-31-00/201).
(e)
Apply a parting agent to all the surfaces that connect on the lens assembly (AMM 51-31-00/201).
(f)
Make a new seal (AMM 51-31-00/201).
(g)
Put the new lens assembly in its position.
(h)
Tighten the quick-release fasteners.

_______ LEADING EDGE FLAP AND SLAT LOCKS CORRECTLY. THE LEADING EDGE FLAPS AND SLATS CAN MOVE QUICKLY IF YOU DO NOT REMOVE THE LOCKS CORRECTLY. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(5) Do this task: "Leading Edge Flap and Slat Locks Removal" (AMM 27-81-00/201).

INBOARD LANDING LIGHTS - MAINTENANCE PRACTICES

1. General_______
A. This procedure contains the task for the replacement of the lamp in the inboard landing light (referred to as the light).
B. Each inboard landing light is adjacent to a runway turnoff light. The two lights are behind one lens.
C. The inboard landing lights are in a fuel vapor area. Each lamp, electrical connection, and lens has a seal to stop all fuel fumes and water.
