1. Anticollision Lights Operational Test

A. General
(1) This procedure contains an operational test of the upper and lower anticollision lights.

Supply electrical power (AMM 24-22-00/201).

(2)
Put the ANTICOLLISION switch on the overhead panel, P5, in the ON position.
WARNING: DO NOT LET THE STROBE LIGHT FLASH DIRECTLY IN YOUR EYES.
_______ THE INTENSITY OF THE LIGHT CAN CAUSE YOU TO NOT SEE TEMPORARILY.
(a) Make sure the two anticollision lights flash.

Put the ANTICOLLISION switch on the overhead panel, P5, in the OFF position.
(a) Make sure the two anticollision lights go off.
(4)
Remove electrical power if it is not necessary (AMM 24-22-00/201).

UPPER ANTICOLLISION LIGHT - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General________
A. This procedure contains these tasks:

Upper Anticollision Light Removal
(2)
Upper Anticollision Light Installation
(3)
Upper Anticollision Light - Lens Removal
(4)
Upper Anticollision Light - Lens Installation
B. The upper anticollision light is installed on the top of the fuselage, above the leading edge of the wing.
(1)
When you do the removal of the light procedure, you remove the light from the inner side of the airplane. The lens is not removed.
(2)
When you do the removal of the lens procedure, you remove the lens from outside the airplane. The light is not removed.

(1) Do one of these steps to remove electrical power from the upper anticollision light:
(a)
At the overhead panel, P5, set the switch to the off position and attach the DO-NOT-OPERATE tag.
(b)
Open each applicable circuit breaker and attach the DO-NOT-CLOSE tag: 1) On the load control center panel, P18.

(2) Get access to the upper anticollision light.
(a)
Lower or remove the right ceiling panel under the light. (Ref 25-21-45/401).
(b)
ON SOME AIRPLANES; Push inboard on the folded part of the air conditioning duct.
