Turn the adjustment screws of the inboard landing light until the center of the light beam is on the target.

Set the switch for the landing light to the off position.

Install the lens for the inboard landing and runway turnoff lights (AMM 33-42-21/401).

WARNING: YOU MUST CAREFULLY DO THE STEPS IN THE TASK BELOW TO REMOVE THE
_______ LEADING EDGE FLAP AND SLAT LOCKS CORRECTLY. THE LEADING EDGE FLAPS AND SLATS CAN MOVE QUICKLY IF YOU DO NOT REMOVE THE LOCKS CORRECTLY. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.

RUNWAY TURNOFF LIGHTS - MAINTENANCE PRACTICES

1. General_______
A. This procedure contains the task for the replacement of the lamp in the runway turnoff landing light (referred to as the light).
B. The runway turnoff lights give lighting to turn the airplane.
C. Each runway turnoff light is adjacent to an inboard landing light. The two lights are behind one lens.
D. The runway turnoff lights are in a fuel vapor area. Each lamp, electrical connection, and lens has a seal to stop all fuel fumes and water.

(1) Prepare the light.
WARNING: YOU MUST CAREFULLY DO THE STEPS IN THE TASK BELOW TO
_______ INSTALL THE LEADING EDGE FLAP AND SLAT LOCKS CORRECTLY. THE LEADING EDGE FLAPS AND SLATS CAN MOVE QUICKLY IF YOU DO NOT INSTALL THE LOCKS CORRECTLY. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(a)
Do this task: "Leading Edge Flap and Slat Locks Installation" (Ref 27-81-00/201).
(b)
Open these circuit breakers and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:
1) P18-3 Load Control Center - Left a) RIGHT RUNWAY TURNOFF b) LEFT RUNWAY TURNOFF
(c)
Remove the inboard landing and runway turnoff light lens (Ref 33-42-21/401).
