1) Make sure that these signs are on:
a) NO SMOKING
b) FASTEN SEAT BELT
c) RETURN TO SEAT

Move the landing gear lever to the off position.
1) Make sure that the passenger signs are off.
(l)
Set the NO SMOKING and the FASTEN BELTS switches to OFF. 1) Make sure that all the passenger signs stay off.
(m)
Move the Landing gear lever to the down position.

CALL LIGHTS - DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION

1. General_______
A. A call light shows the location of the person who has set a call switch to the on position to make a call for an attendant's aid.
(1)
Each call light is installed on the bottom of an exit locator sign or on an attendant's service unit.
(2)
Each time a call is made, the call light for that location comes on and the passenger address system makes a chime sound.
B. The color of the call light identifies the location of the person who made the call and type of aid that is necessary.

Amber is for a call from a lavatory.
(2)
AIRPLANES WITHOUT WHITE CALL LIGHTS;
Blue is for a call from a passenger seat.
(3)
AIRPLANES WITH WHITE CALL LIGHTS; Blue is for a call from the flight compartment (AMM 33-24-00/001). The blue call light comes on when the pilot sets the FASTEN BELTS switch to the CREW position. This lets the attendant's know that it is time to put on their seat belts.

AIRPLANES WITH GREEN CALL LIGHTS; Green is for a call from the other attendant's station (AMM 23-43-00/001).
(5)
Pink is for a call from the flight crew (AMM 23-43-00/001).

AIRPLANES WITH WHITE CALL LIGHTS;
White is for a call from a passenger seat.

2. Lavatory Call Lights____________________
A. There is a call switch in each lavatory. The call light is on the exit locator sign near the lavatory.
B. When the call switch in the lavatory is pushed, then the lavatory call light and a chime come on. The call light operates with 28 volts dc from the No. 1 bus. The same electrical power is also supplied to the passenger address amplifier to make the chime sound (AMM 23-31-00/001).
C. AIRPLANES WITHOUT LAVATORY CALL RESET SWITCHES; You can push the call switch again to make the call light and chime go off.
