(2) Remove the lamp.
(a) Remove the retainer screws.
NOTE: Make sure you do not turn the adjustment screws.

(b)
Remove the retainer.
(c)
Remove the lamp from the frame.
(d)
Disconnect the electrical wires from the terminals of the lamp.
(e)
Remove the gasket from the frame.

(3) Install the new lamp.
(a)
Clean the light assembly with a clean dry cloth.
(b)
Wind a new gasket around the lamp using the BMS1-68F tape.
(c)
Clean the terminals of the lamp and the ends of the electrical wires to remove all dirt and corrosion.
(d)
Connect the electrical wires to the terminals of the lamp.
NOTE: Tighten the screws until the lockwashers are fully
____
compressed.
WARNING: MAKE SURE YOU SEAL THE TERMINAL TO PREVENT AN EXPLOSION OF
_______ THE FUEL FUMES. AN EXPLOSION CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(e)
Do this task: "Seal the Open Terminals" (AMM 20-10-47/201).
(f)
Put the lamp in the frame.
(g)
Align the lug on the lamp with the slot in the frame.
CAUTION: HOLD THE LAMP IN THE CORRECT POSITION WHILE YOU INSTALL
_______ THE RETAINER. IF THE LAMP IS IN THE INCORRECT POSITION, THE INSTALLATION OF THE RETAINER CAN BREAK THE LAMP.
(h) Hold the lamp and install the retainer with the screws.

(4) Do a test of the runway turnoff lights.
(a)
Supply electrical power (Ref 24-22-00/201).
(b)
Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags and close these circuit breakers:
1) P18-3 Load Control Center - Left a) RIGHT RUNWAY TURNOFF b) LEFT RUNWAY TURNOFF
CAUTION: DO NOT MAKE THE LIGHTS COME ON FOR MORE THAN FIVE MINUTES.
_______ AFTER YOU MAKE THE LIGHTS COME ON, MAKE THE LIGHTS GO OFF FOR AN EQUAL TIME. BECAUSE OF THE HEAT, THE CONTINUED OPERATION OF THE LIGHTS CAN DECREASE THE LIFE OF THE LAMPS.
(c) Set the RUNWAY TURNOFF switches of the overhead panel, P5, to ON. 1) Make sure the lights come on. 2) Make sure the lighting, on each side of the airplane, falls
on symmetrical areas of the ground.
NOTE: If the lighting is not symmetrical, then adjust the
____ lights (Ref 33-42-31/501).
(d) Set the RUNWAY TURNOFF switches of the P5 panel to OFF.
E. Put the airplane back to its usual condition.

WARNING: YOU MUST CAREFULLY DO THE STEPS IN THE TASK BELOW TO INSTALL
_______ THE LENS. THE SEAL OF THE LENS MUST STOP ALL FUEL FUMES. IF THERE ARE LEAKS IN THE SEAL, FUEL FUMES CAN COLLECT NEAR THE LIGHT AND CAUSE AN EXPLOSION. AN EXPLOSION CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(1) Install the lens of the inboard landing and runway turnoff light (Ref 33-42-21/401).
