(1) Prepare for the Removal:
(a) Open the circuit breakers that supply the indicator light with power and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags.
NOTE: Many systems in the airplane have indicator lights
____ installed in the flight compartment. Use the Wiring Diagram Manual to find the correct system circuit breakers for each light indicator (Ref WDM 33-18-02 thru 33-18-05).
(b) Get access to the rear of the indicator light.

(2) Remove the Indicator Light:
(a)
Disconnect and tag the electrical wires attached to the indicator light terminals.
(b)
Pull the cap assembly away from the panel.

(c)
Loosen the screws that hold the indicator light to the panel.
(d)
Examine the sleeve to find the end which is adjacent to the panel.
NOTE: The sleeve can be installed in one of two directions to
____ adjust for the thickness of different panels.
(e)
From behind the panel, remove the terminal assembly and the sleeve parts of the indicator light.
(f)
Pull the body and contact assembly from the front of the panel.

(1) Install the Indicator Light:
(a)
Put the body and contact assembly through the front of the panel.
(b)
Put the sleeve on the contact assembly from the rear of the panel.
(c)
Make sure that you install the sleeve correctly.
NOTE: The sleeve can be installed in one of two directions to
____ adjust for the thickness of different panels.
(d)
Hold the terminal assembly in the correct position.
(e)
Tighten the screws to attach the indicator light to the panel.
