TROUBLE PROBABLE CAUSE ISOLATION PROCEDURE REMEDY
Nose gear taxi light inoperative Outboard landing light will not extend Outboard landing light is inoper-ative Outboard landing light will not Inboard landing light inoperative Runway turnoff light inoperative retract Bulb burned out or faulty switch Faulty switch, extend circuit, or transformer Bulb burned out, faulty switch, transformer, or extend circuit Faulty switch, retract circuit, or transformer Bulb burned out, faulty switch or transformer Bulb burned out or faulty switch Replace bulb. If light operates, bulb was burned out. If light still inop-erative, replace switch Check for 115V AC at ON Replace bulb. If light operates, bulb was burned Replace bulb. If light operates bulb was burned Replace bulb. If light operates, bulb was burned Check for 115V AC at OFF (RETRACT) terminal of (EXTEND) terminal of switch on pilot's overhead panel. If no voltage, re-place switch. If voltage is OK, replace transformer and then landing light circuit assembly out. IF light still inop-erative, replace in order, switch, transformer, landing light circuit assembly switch on pilot's overhead panel. If no voltage, re-place switch. If voltage is OK, replace transformer and then landing light circuit assembly out. If light still inop-erative, replace switch. If light still inoperative, replace transformer out. OUTBOARD LANDING LIGHTS - MAINTENANCE PRACTICES

1. General_______
A. This procedure contains a task for the replacement of the lamp in an outboard landing light (referred to as the light).
B. There is an outboard landing light in each outboard fairing.
C. The outboard landing lights can be extended and retracted.
D. This light must be lubricated regularly (AMM 12-25-95/301).

(1) Location Zone 307 Left Wing Trailing Edge, Outboard Flap and Spoilers 407 Right Wing Trailing Edge, Outboard Flap and Spoilers
C. Prepare the outboard landing light for the lamp replacement.

Supply electrical power (AMM 24-22-00/201).

Set the LANDING OUTBOARD L and LANDING OUTBOARD R switches on the overhead panel, P5, to the EXTEND position.
(a) Make sure each of the two lights extends fully down.

(3) Open these circuit breakers and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:
(a) P18-3 Load Control Center - Left
1) RIGHT OUTBOARD LANDING LIGHTS
2) LEFT OUTBOARD LANDING LIGHTS
D. Procedure

(1) Replace the lamp:
(a) Loosen the tension screws at the rear of the light assembly.
