(3) S 865-016Make sure the airplane and the test area are on level ground.
(4) S 865-032Make sure the airplane is approximately level (AMM 08-10-00/201).
(5) S 945-010Set the target in its position (Fig. 503).
NOTE:____ The target must be sufficiently large to see when you adjust the light. For the target, you can make a mark on the ground or set an object on the ground.
(6) S 865-030Supply electrical power (AMM 24-22-00/201).
(7) S 825-007Adjust the light.
CAUTION:_______ DO NOT MAKE THE LIGHTS COME ON FOR MORE THAN FIVE MINUTES. AFTER YOU MAKE THE LIGHTS COME ON, MAKE THE LIGHTS GO OFF FOR AN EQUAL TIME. BECAUSE OF THE HEAT, THE CONTINUED OPERATION OF THE LIGHTS CAN DECREASE THE LIFE OF THE LAMPS.
(a) At the overhead panel, P5, set the switch for the runway turnoff light to the on position.
WARNING:_______ DO NOT TOUCH THE HOT LAMP WITH YOUR BARE HANDS. LAMP CAN BURN YOUR SKIN. A HOT
(b) (c) Turn the adjustment screws of the runway turnoff light until the center of the light beam is on the mark.Set the switch to the off position.
(8) S 945-006Remove the target.
(9) S 435-005Install the lens for the inboard landing and runway turnoff lights (AMM 33-42-21/401).
