C. Procedure
S 862-005
(1) Open this circuit breaker and attach a DO-NOT-CLOSE tag:
(a) P18-3 Load Control Center - Left
1) NOSE GEAR TAXI
S 492-006
WARNING: YOU MUST CAREFULLY INSTALL THE GROUND LOCKS IN ALL LANDING
_______ GEAR. AN ACCIDENTAL RETRACTION OF THE LANDING GEAR CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(2)
Make sure the ground locks are installed in all landing gear (AMM 32-00-01/201).
S 022-002
(3)
Remove the lamp.
(a)
Remove the retainer screws and the retainer.
(b)
Remove the lamp from the housing.
(c)
Disconnect the electrical wires from the terminals of the lamp.
S 422-003
(4) Install the new lamp.
(a)
Clean the terminals of the lamp and the ends of the electrical wires to remove all dirt and corrosion.
(b)
Connect the electrical wires to the terminals of the lamp.
NOTE: Tighten the screws until the lockwashers are fully
____
compressed.
(c) Put the lamp in the housing.

CAUTION: HOLD THE LAMP IN THE CORRECT POSITION WHILE YOU INSTALL
_______ THE RETAINER. IF THE LAMP IS IN THE INCORRECT POSITION, THE INSTALLATION OF THE RETAINER CAN BREAK THE LAMP.
(d) Hold the lamp and install the retainer with the screws.
S 722-004
(5) Do a test of the nose gear taxi light.
(a)
Supply electrical power (AMM 24-22-00/201).
(b)
Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tag and close this circuit breaker:
1) P18-3 Load Control Center - Left
a) NOSE GEAR TAXI
(c)
On the pilot's overhead panel, P5,
set the TAXI switch to the ON position.
1) Make sure the light comes on.
(d)
Set the TAXI switch to the OFF position.
1) Make sure the light goes off.
(e)
Remove the electrical power if it is not necessary
(AMM 24-22-00/201).
