 7.  Anticollision Lights____________________
 A.  The anticollision lights make the airplane more easily seen.
 B.  The anticollision lights are installed on the upper and lower fuselage.
 C.  Both the upper and the lower anticollision lights flash. Each light is strobe light with a red lens.
 8.  AIRPLANES WITH STROBE POSITION LIGHTS;______________________________ Strobe Position Lights
 A.  The strobe position lights make the airplane more easily seen.
 B.  There is a strobe position light on each wingtip forward of the colored steady position light.
 9.  AIRPLANES WITH LOGO LIGHTS; Logo Lights___________
 A.  The logo light is a floodlight that gives lighting to the vertical stabilizer.
 B.  There is a logo light installed in the navigation light fairing on the trailing edge of each wingtip.

 WING SCANNING LIGHTS - DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION

 1.  General (Fig. 1)_______
 A.  There is a wing scanning light on each side of the fuselage. Each light is forward and above the wing.
 B.  Each light consists of a housing assembly mounted in the fuselage and sealed against weather. A sealed beam lamp is mounted in an adjustable retainer assembly that is attached to the lamp housing. A lens assembly is mounted on the outside of the housing assembly. A cable prevents the lens assembly from falling when removed for maintenance.
 C.  You operate the wing scanning lights with a switch on the overhead panel, P5.

 A.  This procedure contains two tasks for the wing scanning light (referred to as the light):
 (1)  
The replacement of the lamp

 (2)  
The adjustment of the light.

 (1)  Replace the lamp:
 (a)  
Open this circuit breaker and attach a DO-NOT-CLOSE tag:

 1)  P18 Load Control Center - Left a) WING SCAN

 (b)  
Loosen the fasteners on the lens assembly.

 (c)  
Let the lens assembly hang from its lanyard.

 (d)  
Remove the retainer screws and remove the outer retainer.

 NOTE: Make sure you do not turn the adjustment screws.

 (e)  
Pull the lamp forward and disconnect the wires from the lamp terminals.

 (f)  
Remove the lamp.

 (g)  
Make sure the replacement lamp terminals are clean.
