There are 12 lightning protectors, three for each engine generator:

X435, X436, and X437 for generator 1
(2)
X441, X442, and X443 for generator 2
(3)
X444, X445, and X446 for generator 3
(4)
X438, X439, and X440 for generator 4.

The lightning protectors are installed in the four generator power center panels (P514, P515, P614, and P615) in the E/E compartment.
D.
Access to the E/E compartment is through a door behind the nose wheel or through the forward cargo compartment.
NOTE: The test steps provided in the following may be accomplished on
____ the airplane if test equipment is available or lightning protector may be removed and tested on the bench.
