 (b)  
Make sure the OFF lights on the GEN CONT switches are on.

 (c)  
Make sure the DRIVE lights on the DRIVE DISC 1, 2, 3, and 4 switches, on the P5 panel, are on.

 (3)  Start the applicable engine(s) (AMM 71-00-00/201).

 CAUTION: THE "DRIVE" LIGHT IN THE DRIVE DISC SWITCH MUST GO OFF AFTER
_______ YOU START THE ENGINE. IF THE "DRIVE" LIGHT STAYS ON, PUSH THE DRIVE DISC SWITCH TO REMOVE INPUT POWER TO THE IDG. HIGH OIL TEMPERATURE OR LOW OIL PRESSURE CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE IDG.
 (4)  Make sure the DRIVE light on the applicable DRIVE DISC switch goes out when the engine gets near minimum idle.

 CAUTION: DO NOT PUSH THE DRIVE DISC WHEN THE ENGINE RPM IS LESS THAN THE
_______ MINIMUM IDLE. IT IS POSSIBLE THAT THE IDG WILL NOT DISCONNECT FULLY. THIS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE IDG.
 DO NOT PUSH THE DRIVE DISC SWITCH FOR LONGER THAN THREE SECONDS. DAMAGE TO THE DISCONNECT SOLENOID CAN OCCUR.
 IF THE IDG DOES NOT DISCONNECT, LET 60 SECONDS ELAPSE BEFORE YOU PUSH THE DRIVE DISC SWITCH AGAIN. IF YOU DO NOT, DAMAGE TO THE DISCONNECT SOLENOID CAN OCCUR.
 (5)  
Disconnect the IDG.

 (a)  
Open the switch guard on the applicable DRIVE DISC switch.

 (b)  
Push the DRIVE DISC switch.

Make sure the IDG is disconnected.

 (a)  
Make sure the DRIVE light on the applicable DRIVE DISC switch comes on.

 (b)  
Make sure the applicable advisory EICAS message shows on the main EICAS screen: 1) DRIVE DISC 1 2) DRIVE DISC 2 3) DRIVE DISC 3 4) DRIVE DISC 4

Stop the engine(s) (AMM 71-00-00/201).

Remove electrical power, if it is not necessary (AMM 24-22-00/201).

 CAUTION: MAKE SURE THE N1 AND N2 ROTORS STOP BEFORE YOU PULL THE IDG
