IDG AIR/OIL HEAT EXCHANGER VALVE - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General_______
A. This procedure contains two tasks:
(1)
The IDG Air/Oil Heat Exchanger Valve (valve) Removal.
(2)
The Valve Installation.
B.
The installation task includes an operational test of the valve. A high-power engine operation is necessary to do the test. You can do the test immediately after you install the valve or you can do the test during the first usual engine operation.
C.
You must remove and install the valve and the IDG air/oil heat exchanger (referred to as the heat exchanger) as an assembly (Ref 24-11-14/401). After you remove the assembly, you can disassemble the valve from the heat exchanger.
D.
The heat exchanger and the valve are installed on the engine intermediate case at the 4 o'clock position.
E.
Open the right thrust reverser half to get access to the valve.
