Open door 118A to get access to the external power receptacle on the P36 panel.

Examine the external power supply cord and the airplane external power supply receptacle before you connect the external power supply to the receptacle. If you find excessive arc erosion, corrosion and heat damage or discoloration to the pins or receptacles, repair the problems that you find (AMM 24-41-03/401).

Make sure the STANDBY POWER switch, on the P5 overhead panel, in the OFF position.
