MAKE SURE THAT PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT ARE CLEAR OF THE LE AND TE FLAPS BEFORE YOU TURN THE POWER ON. THE FLAPS CAN AUTOMATICALLY MOVE WHEN YOU SUPPLY ELECTRICAL POWER.
WARNING: MAKE SURE ALL AIRPLANE SYSTEMS THAT USE ELECTRICAL POWER ARE IN
_______ A SAFE CONDITION. AIRPLANE SYSTEMS CAN OPERATE AND CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
CAUTION: THE BATTERY SWITCH MUST BE OFF WHEN ELECTRICAL POWER IS TURNED
_______ OFF. IF THE BATTERY SWITCH IS ON WITH NO AC POWER ON THE AIRPLANE, THE BATTERIES CAN BECOME DISCHARGED. THE APU WILL NOT START IF THE APU BATTERY IS DISCHARGED.
(1) Set the BATTERY switch, on the P5 panel, to ON.
NOTE: Most of the switches and lights you must use are on the
____ P5 overhead panel. Other panels you must use will be identified in the procedure.

Set the STANDBY POWER switch to AUTO.
