 WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM IS CLEAR OF OTHER PERSONS
_______ BEFORE YOU SUPPLY POWER TO THE AIRPLANE. HIGH VOLTAGES CAN CAUSE INJURIES.
 WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT ARE CLEAR OF THE LE AND TE
_______ FLAPS BEFORE YOU TURN THE POWER ON. THE FLAPS CAN AUTOMATICALLY MOVE WHEN YOU SUPPLY ELECTRICAL POWER.
 WARNING: MAKE SURE ALL AIRPLANE SYSTEMS THAT USE ELECTRICAL POWER ARE IN
_______ A SAFE CONDITION. AIRPLANE SYSTEMS CAN OPERATE AND CAUSE INJURY.
 CAUTION: THE BATTERY SWITCH MUST BE OFF WHEN ELECTRICAL POWER IS TURNED
_______ OFF. IF THE BATTERY SWITCH IS ON WITH NO AC POWER ON THE AIRPLANE, THE BATTERIES CAN BECOME DISCHARGED. THE APU WILL NOT START IF THE APU BATTERY IS DISCHARGED.
 (1)  
Set the BATTERY switch, on the P5 panel, to ON.

 (2)  
Start the APU and let it operate for 90 seconds (AMM 49-11-00/201).

 (3)  
Make sure that the AVAIL lights on the APU GEN 1 and 2 switches are on.

 NOTE: Most of the switches and lights you must use are on the
____ P5 overhead panel. Other panels you must use will be identified in the procedure.

 CAUTION: DO NOT OPERATE THE APU FOR MORE THAN 10 MINUTES, IF THE AC
_______ BUSSES ARE NOT ON. THE ELECTRICAL NEEDS OF THE APU CAN DISCHARGE THE APU BATTERY. THE APU WILL NOT START IF THE APU BATTERY IS DISCHARGED.
 (4)  
Push the GROUND SERVICE switch on the flight attendants panel (door 2-left).

 (5)  
Make sure that the ON light on the GROUND SERVICE switch is on.

 (1)  Push the APU GEN 1 and APU GEN 2 switches on the P5 overhead panel.
 NOTE: Most of the switches and lights you must use are on the
____ P5 overhead panel. Other panels you must use will be identified in the procedure.

Stop the APU (AMM 49-11-00/201).

Set the STANDBY POWER switch to OFF.

 (5)  Set the BATTERY switch to OFF.
