 S 434-017
 (1)  
Install the heat exchanger valve on the heat exchanger (Ref 24-11-14/401).

 (2)  
Install the heat exchanger (Ref 24-11-14/401).

 (3)  
Do a Test of the IDG Air/Oil Heat Exchanger Valve:

 (a)  
Supply electrical power (Ref 24-22-00/201).

 NOTE:  Perform this test if the IDG Air/Oil Heat Exchanger Valve was not tested before installation.

 (b)  
Make sure that the applicable engine is stopped.

 (c)  
Get access to the INPUT MONITORING page on the CMCS.

 (d)  
Use the CDU keyboard to write the PORT LBL SDI word as follows: 1) For engine 1 and 2, write "E/086/271/00". 2) For engine 3 and 4, write "E/008/271/00".

 (e)  
Push the 1L key to start the CMCS sequence.

 (f)  
Make sure that the bit for the applicable engine is 1.


 NOTE: Engine 1 is bit 20 (top line - 4th from the right)
____ Engine 2 is bit 21 (top line - 5th from the right) Engine 3 is bit 22 (top line - 6th from the right) Engine 4 is bit 23 (top line - 7th from the right)
 (g)  
Start the applicable engine (Ref 71-00-00/201).

 (h)  
With the applicable engine at idle speed, make sure that the engine bit is 1.

 (i)  
Increase the engine speed to 90% N2.

 (j)  
Make sure that the bit changes to a 0 and remains 0 at 80 - 90% N2.

 (k)  
Stop the engine (Ref 71-00-00/201).

 (4)  
Remove electrical power, if it is not necessary (Ref 24-22-00/201).

 IDG AIR/OIL HEAT EXCHANGER VALVE OVERRIDE PRESSURE SWITCH -

 1.  General_______
 A.  This procedure has two tasks. One task is the removal of the override pressure switch (S1611) for the IDG air/oil heat exchanger valve. The other task is the installation of the pressure switch.
 B.  The pressure switch is installed on the intermediate case of each engine at the 1 o'clock position.
 C.  You must open the right thrust reverser half to get access to the pressure switch.
