(2) S 792-062Spray the talcum powder or foot powder over the IDG and the IDG external cooling circuit.
(3) S 792-054Dry motor the engine for one minute (AMM 71-00-00/201).
(4) S 212-053Check for oil leaks from the IDG or IDG external cooling circuit.
NOTE:____ Oil leaks will show as streaks in the talcum powder.
(a) If the oil leaks are found, repair or replace the components as needed.
(5) S 612-060Service the IDG (AMM 12-22-07/301).
(6) S 712-055Do the engine ground test - idle power procedure to do a check for leaks (AMM 71-00-00/501).
(7) S 212-056Examine the IDG oil level (AMM 12-13-07/301).
(8) S 612-061Service the IDG (AMM 12-13-07/301).
(9) S 412-059Close the left thrust reverser half (AMM 78-31-00/201).

INTEGRATED DRIVE GENERATOR - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General
_______
A. This procedure contains two tasks:
(1)
The removal of the integrated drive generator G19 (IDG)
(2)
The installation of the integrated drive generator G19 (IDG).
B.
The IDG is found on the aft face of the main gearbox, at the
6 o'clock position.
C.
Get access to the IDG through the left thrust reverser half.

(2) A71013-82 Hoist Adapter - Integrated Drive Generator (Used with A71015 Lifting Fixture) (Recommended)
The following tools used with Hein Warner Model 62 or Licoln B67554 or W93720 jacks: (Alternative)

Container - 5 U.S. gallon (20 liter) capacity, suitable to collect oil drainage from IDG

Adapter - Outlet, OMP2505-3, Ozone Metal Products, 101-32 101st Street, Ozone Park, Long Island, NY 11416

Hose - to connect to outlet adapter
