NOTE: The interruption in power can cause the stick shaker to
____ operate, the EICAS display to go off, and the lights to flash.
 N.  The conditions that follow can occur alone or in combination when the split system breaker is open while the airplane is operating on either APU or external power.
 (1)
The EICAS maintenance page shows that the left synchronous bus reads approximately 120 volts.

 (2)
EICAS messages ELEC TRU UNIT 1, ELEC TRU UNIT 2, and/or F/O XFR BUS occur, and/or TRU 1 and TRU 2 output currents are approximately zero.

 (3)
The MCDU is blinking on load application.

 (4)
The ground service bus trips off line when the airplane is on external power.

 (5)  The ground service bus toggles between APU and external power when both sources are available. This action will cause the lighting to flicker.
 O.  No action is required for the synchronous bus indication or the MCDU blinking. The electrical power system can be considered within certified limits unless other associated power system EICAS messages are present. The TRU indications are considered nuisance if they return to normal when the split system breaker is closed.
 P.  If the ground service bus trips off line or toggles between the APU and external power, apply ground service power via the main busses by selecting the external power No. 1 switch to the ON position.

WARNING:_______ MAKE SURE THE EXTERNAL POWER SUPPLY OPERATES CORRECTLY BEFORE
YOU SUPPLY EXTERNAL POWER TO THE AIRPLANE.  IF THE EXTERNAL
POWER SUPPLY HAS AN EARTH GROUNDED NEUTRAL, THERE MUST NOT BE
AN OPEN OR FLOATING GROUND IN THE NEUTRAL CIRCUIT WIRING OF THE
SUPPLY OR THE AIRPLANE.  IF AN OPEN OR FLOATING GROUND IS
PRESENT, THE AIRPLANE CAN BE PUT AT AN ELECTRICAL POTENTIAL
ABOVE EARTH GROUND.  THIS ELECTRICAL POTENTIAL CAN RESULT IN
ELECTRIC SHOCK WITH POSSIBLE SEVERE INJURY TO PERSONNEL WHO
CONTACT THE AIRPLANE.  IF THE GROUND RETURN (NEUTRAL) CIRCUIT
ON THE EXTERNAL POWER SUPPLY OR THE EXTERNAL POWER RECEPTACLE
DOES NOT OPERATE CORRECTLY, REPAIR THE EXTERNAL POWER SUPPLY OR
INSPECT THE EXTERNAL POWER RECEPTACLE NEUTRAL GROUND (AMM
 24-41-03/601).
WARNING:_______ MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM IS CLEAR OF OTHER PERSONS
BEFORE YOU SUPPLY POWER TO THE AIRPLANE.  HIGH VOLTAGES CAN
 CAUSE INJURIES.

WARNING: MAKE SURE ALL AIRPLANE SYSTEMS THAT USE ELECTRICAL POWER ARE IN
_______ A SAFE CONDITION. AIRPLANE SYSTEMS CAN OPERATE AND CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
